Invitation

We would be pleased to have you as our guest.

Survey on integration of qualified immigrants – Help us to improve the management of cultural diversity!

Survey on cultural diversity in SME

By focus-groups and expert interviews we already built a basis of knowledge on the current situation of immigrant employees and their integration in organizations.
By a survey on the management of a culturally heterogenous workforce and the integration of employees from Non-EU countries we’d now like to reinforce this knowledge.

We are looking for participants at organizational as well as individual level.

On organizational level, these are small and medium-sized organizations that employ persons of different nationalities – also from outside the European Union.
On the individual level, these are highly qualified immigrants (having an official professional qualification) from outside the European Union, who are working in a small or medium-sized organization.

Just spend 15 Minutes of your time and help us to advance our common understanding of the management of a culturally heterogeneous workforce. We believe that a better understanding of dealing with diversity in organizations will help those who are involved in managing diverse staff and finally improve the situation of employees born abroad.

If you believe that you are not the right person to complete the questionnaire, perhaps a colleague or someone you know is the appropriate person to complete it. Under no circumstances will your responses be made available to anyone in your firm. You will remain absolutely anonymous and your information won’t be attributed to you, your colleagues, supervisor or organization.

Coordination meeting 2

In July 2014, all project partners met for a second coordination meeting in Barcelona.
We discussed findings from expert interviews as well as focus groups, which all partners did in their own countries.
Findings are going to be summed up in an Interim report, to be published on this website in the next weeks.

Expert Interviews and Focus Groups – Participants wanted!

To gain a deeper insight into the situation of immigrant employees, to identify areas, where change is needed and to be able to deduce recommended course of action, all project partners are doing interviews with experts and focus groups with qualified immigrants .

For this reason, we need your support!

For focus groups we are looking for employees, who migrated during their lifetim from a Non-EU country (or Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia) and who have already completed either vocational training or a university degree. The intention is to exchange experiences and opinions regarding the integration into a new cultural environment.

Your help can contribute to the success of the project and, most importantly, improve the situation of foreign-born employees.

If you are interested to take part in one of our focus-groups in Barcelona, Rome, Vienna, Bayreuth, Heilbronn or Nuremberg please contact the responsible project partner:

Barcelona (Spain): GES
Rome (Italy): Lunaria
Vienna (Austria): IIB
Bayreuth (Germany): BF/M
Heilbronn (Germany): GGS
Nuremberg (Germany):BF/M

New Cooperation Partner – GGS

Prof. Markus Vodosek from the German Graduate School for Management and Law (GGS) in Heilbronn, Germany already joined our first coordination meeting in Rome.

Now, we are really pleased to welcome him and his institution as cooperation partner. According to his previous work on the topics of cultural diversity, interpersonal relationships in teams and organization, conflict management and social networks in organizations, his contribution will add significant benefit to the project.

For more information about GGS have a look at “Project partners”.
